Something that hit for me is that leaving a religion doesn’t erase the need for ritual.
I did not leave Wicca when my focus shifted to philosophy and analytic idealism. Perhaps it is because idealism lets me erase any woo-woo associated with the tools of Wicca. If anything, it lends more credence to the rituals.
As the Moon rules the tides, it can certainly influence the energy of water in a jar. 😊
